Delete your account
You can delete your Shoulder Tap account and its data at any time. It can’t be undone.
In the app (fastest)
- Open Shoulder Tap and go to the You tab.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Tap Delete forever to confirm.
Your account is deleted right away.
By email (if you can’t use the app)
Email privacy@shouldertap.me from the email address you sign in with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We may reply to confirm it’s really you, then delete your account and tell you when it’s done, within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile and photos
- Your location and safety records
- Your settings, activity and messages, including your friends and blocks
What stays
- Posts, replies and comments you made stay so conversations still make sense, but they show “Deleted account” instead of your name. You can delete any of them yourself before you delete your account.
- Some records stay for a limited time where we need them for safety or legal reasons, such as reports involving your account.
